The BOA recieves professional support and guidance from Glenys Hurst-Robson of SWL Northwest Ltd, this ensures safeguarding is at the forefront of the governance we provide.

If you have a question regarding a medical condition and the suitability to participate in Underwater Hockey, the BOA utilises the services of Dr. Tim Fitzsimons. Tim is an Underwater Hockey Player, experienced Scuba Diver, and a medical referee with the UK Diving Medical Council, he has advised on Diving, Apnea and Underwater Hockey, to contact him in confidence please email: doctim@divingmedicals.com

 

DBS Checks - These are available at no cost to members who are involved in club committee roles, coaching and refereeing activities, please email welfare@gbuwh.co.uk and request a form.  As DBS certifictes are a legal document they are provided as a hard copy. The BOA will accept a scan/image, including certificates from an employer or other volunteer role as long as it is dated within the last three years, please send to welfare@gbuwh.co.uk 

Update Service, this allows organisations such as the BOA to check the status of your DBS via a government portal. Once you received your DBS certificate, visit https://secure.crbonline.gov.uk/crsc/apply?execution=e4s2 you have 28 days to apply and there is no cost to volunteers.
