February – Played in Sawston Junior Invitation Tournament and came 4th. Against teams from Thames Valley (Winners), Sawston (Runners-up), Leamington Triads and Hoyland Sharks
June 26th – Facilitated and worked with a team of swimmers with mental and physical handicap prior to and during filming of Channel 4 programme “Don’t Just Sit There” at the Water Place, Bolton introducing them to finning, snorkelling and octopush skills. An underwater camera was used to capture the action, and the programme was screened 11th August. Reported in Octopush News July 1990 edition.

December – Friendly junior match against Huddersfield – Lost
March – Juniors invited to play in the first Eastern Invitation Tournament at Ipswich, but unable to attend.
July – UK Nationals at Barnsley Metrodome Leisure Centre. Only 2 members of our team turned up, so we were unable to field a team. The Tournament was won by Sawston, Thames Valley 2nd and Ipswich 3rd. Other teams who played were Huddersfield (most improved team) Hoyland, Great Yarmouth, Batley and Farnham Flippers.

Aquacrazies played in first BOA ladder match in Scotland against Orkney at Kirkwall swimming pool. Reported in Octopush News May 1992.

February – Five members played at Batley Tournament at Batley Sports Centre and gave a creditable performance to come 4th. Referees were impressed at the workrate of the team. An extra member could have made a huge difference to the outcome. As it was we only lost 3 games of the 7 played and 2 of those were very close in the first half but superior numbers in the second half took their toll. We were the most disciplined team with the possible exception of the eventual winners, Orkney Vikings. We won 4 matches, lost 3, scored 25 goals and conceded 15. Team was Aiden Roberts [C], Andrew Aspden, Michael Slinn, Robert Fern, Oliver Redmond, David Durrant. Other teams were Batley Argonauts (2nd), Sale Seals (3rd), Sheffield Stingrays, Metrodome Barracudas, Batley Bees and Sale B.
March - Senior team played in Aberdeen tournament coming 5th against teams from Nero’s Heros (winners), Aberdeen Reef Rats (Runners-up), Liverpool Uni, Inverness, Scottish ladies and Reef Rats B.
Members Barrie Whitehead, Garry Alexander, Andrew Dickinson, Gary Henderson, and Derek Smith attended and passed Referee’s course at Batley.
July 9th – 14th UK National U16 Finals Crystal Palace. Junior U16 members played as a joint Rochdale/Sale B team and came 6th against teams from Orkney Vikings (Winners) Batley Argonauts (2nd) Inverness (3rd) Thames Valley and Deben Devils, Sale Seals, Sheffield Stingrays and Sheffield B, Huddersfield Sharks, Metrodome Barracudas & Metrodome B.
September – Winners of Barnsley Junior Invitation Tournament at Metrodome. Team was Aiden Roberts [C], Andrew Aspden, Michael Slinn, Robert Fern, Oliver Redmond, David Durrant, Andrew Dunkinson.

April 1997 – Took part in the first Sheffield under 13 Tournament at Ponds Forge Sheffield coming 5th against teams from Dawlish (Runners-up), Sheffield Stingrays (Winners) Huddersfield A, Orkney Storms and Huddersfield B.
November – Senior team played in Irish Open Tournament at Guinness Brewery Pool, Dublin against Dublin North, Dublin South and Barbarians.

January 24th– Organised a senior challenge tournament at Oulder Hill coming 4th against teams from Southport (Winners), Trafford (Runners-up), Ireland, Leeds Freedivers and UK Ladies.
February 21st 1998 –Played U13 Tournament at Batley and came 5th against teams from Sheffield (winners), Orkney (Runners-up), Metrodome Huddersfield, and Batley.
February 15th Played in Orkney U16 Tournament at Miles Platting against teams from Metrodome (Winners), Orkney Vikings (Runners-up), Sale Seals, Sheffield, and Batley/Huddersfield.
October 1998 – Mantas made their debut in the U16 Yorkshire Underwater Hockey league losing to Barnsley Metrodome 8-0 at Oulder Hill. Team: M Price, M Dawson, N Dawson, A Crofts, C Cooper and D Lord.

Juniors came 4th in Under 13’s Invitation Tournament at Sheffield against teams from Sheffield Stingrays (Winners), Dawlish Dynamos (Runners-up), Huddersfield Sharks A, Orkney Storms and Huddersfield Sharks B.
February – Rochdale Mantas take 5thplace in Under 16 Tournament at Miles Platting against teams from Orkney, Batley/Huddersfield, Sale, Sheffield, and Barnsley Metrodome (Winners).
March. Rochdale Mantas, Junior underwater hockey team’s quest for a trophy went swimmingly. The team returned from Batley with two trophies having competed against teams from Dawlish, Sheffield, Huddersfield and Batley in a junior tournament. They finished as runners up in a closely contested final against the Dawlish team and the 5-4 scoreline reflected that. Mantas also received the Jack Dixon Memorial Trophy for their outstanding performances throughout the competition. The winners were the only team to score against them and he trophy recognised their status as the most improved team. On Easter Sunday we fielded an under 13 team in the 3rd Sheffield Under 13 Tournament coming 3rd against opposition from Sheffield (Winners), Huddersfield (Runners-up), Metrodome and Farnham.
June 12th – Juniors played in 19th U16 National Championships semi-finals at Crystal Palace coming runners-up to Orkney Vikings, against teams from Pembroke Dragons, Thames Valley and Farnham Gauntlets, and coming 6th in the finals against teams from Guildford (Winners), Orkney Vikings (Runners-up), Metrodome Barracudas, Sheffield and Totnes.
