The following policies will apply whilst we are under constraints caused by Covid-19
- Setting a maximum number of players per session. This will be 18.
- This means a maximum of 3 teams of 6 players and still keep to distancing requirements for the non playing team. If numbers are less and substitutes are used then these are to stay apart on the pool side.
- Identifying a Covid coordinator, this will default to the club captain plus have a nominated backup.
- Only BOA members will be permitted to attend sessions. All BOA members are covered by the insurance policy covering our sport.
- Prior to each session each player planning on attending is to advise the Covid coordinator. We have the club pole on Messenger but not every player is currently signed up to use it, email and texts can also be used. Requierment is to confirm attendance at least 1 hour before the session starts. Prior registration not only enables selection of teams ahead of each session but more importantly will be used for any Track and Trace needed. The Covid coordinator will have to maintain an actual register of participants per session, not rely solely upon the registration list.
- Car pooling, if it’s outside your bubble then you should make your own travel arrangements.
- Avoid using group changing rooms, use individual cubicles (if available) where possible.
- Where possible arrive 'swim ready' - with your costume already on.
- Follow the centre policy on how to enter and exit, a one way system will be in force.
- No sharing of masks or snorkels. Other kit that’s shared should be sanitised and left for 72 hours.
- No spitting in your mask, use products like shampoo, shower gel, antifog etc to prevent fogging.
If you feel unwell DO NOT attend any sessions.
If you are diagnosed with Covid-19 then it is your responsibility to contact the clubs Covid coordinator, advising when you were diagnosed and when you were classed infectious. The coordinator will then contact any player who was at the same session requesting that players organise self testing. You will need a negative test to be allowed to return to future sessions.
Comply with any Covid related policies set by either pool in addition to the normal operating procedures for NFDC runs health and leisure centres.
