TOTTON OCTOPUSH CLUB

WHO?
If you can swim, you can play.
Our members are mixed gender, spanning a wide range of ages and fitness levels. Everyone has something to learn and something to offer, whether you’re brand new or already hooked. Come along, give it a go, and share in the madness, it’s a great way to round off the weekend.
WHAT?
Octopush, also known as Underwater Hockey, is exactly what it sounds like, hockey… but at the bottom of a swimming pool.
Officially, it’s described as a sport played by two teams of six, armed with fins, masks and snorkels, battling it out underwater to push a small lead puck into the opposing team’s goal using a short stick. Unofficially? It’s fast, chaotic, brilliant fun.
All you need to do is turn up, ideally wearing some sort of swimwear(!). We’ll be able to lend you everything else for the session:
- Fins
- Mask
- Snorkel
- A pusher (think mini hockey stick)
Sound mad? It is.
Addictive? Absolutely.
Worth trying? Definitely.
WHY?
Good question. Possibly because we’re all a little mad, but that’s part of the charm.
If you enjoy team sports and are tired of clocking up endless lengths just to keep fit, Octopush could be your thing, it’s social, tactical, and far more about smart play than pure speed or stamina.
See the When and Where? section for our regular sessions and Contact Us if you want to come and have a go.
