Chair 

Welcome to all.   

 Thanks to all those that support the club and make it the friendly and competitive club that people enjoy and come back to. 

Special thanks to all those that help run the junior section 

The coaches Jen, Steph, Seb, Diana, Helen and Kevin and the young adults who come back and help coach the newer players, Peter, Sophie and Oli. 

Competitions 

National Qualifiers – Played in the Bowl placing 5th in 2024  

Nautilus – Tough day of playing in Div 3 we were relegated down to Div 4 

Ladies nationals – 5th in the Plate comp 

Barbipush – Pool is now too expensive to host the annual summer tournament 

Its worth noting that in all the competitions we have a large number of keen young players who are getting valuable experience playing against the top teams in the country even if we are mostly at the losing end of the games 

Friendly Games included  
A team from the Isle of Wight came over to play in the dive pit for an extra-long session which was a lot of fun and a team from St Albans came down on a Sunday  

Socials 

Christmas curry was fun and well attended even though I didn’t win anything in the “reverse raffle” well I did but not for long, I hope you enjoy the 2003 calendar Max.

Camping trips to Prawl point have been blessed with sunshine and bacon, always more space in the field for more campers. 

WhatsApp group still working well for planning teams and advising on last minute issues.  

Publicity

Spond 

We have investigated Spond as an alternative to WhatApp, currently Spond does not offer the external output as our current tool 

Thanks finally to Kirst who hasn’t played for years now, but still comes along for a swim and taking lots of pictures which she shares 

 

Treasurer 

Kevin showed a spreadsheet for the accounts 2024-2025 

The increase in fees last year has improved the finances and we are breaking even so no immediate action required. 

Lido fees are high, so no Barbipush again but we have ¼ pool for Wednesdays over a reduced period this summer.
