Brave Ben’s Superstars fund was set up in memory of Ben Preston, and the charity is totally dedicated to helping families and children survive the rigours of fighting childhood cancer.

There many reasons why the charity was formed; some fathers and mothers are sacked from their jobs because firms cannot support them through the ordeal. Kids on treatment cannot go on holiday and cannot do simple things like go to the cinema or just be together in public places, as their blood counts and immunity is too low. It was this disruption to day to day family life that Ben's fund was set up to combat.

So far the charity has raised over £85,000., and achieved the following -

Built a fully functioning cinema at the North staffs hospital, with Xbox, Wii and a 480 film media library

Have donated money to a special respite holiday destination in Scotland to allow 13 families to take a weeks break

Have donated £18k to hospices that allow families to have a great time together in a medically safe environment, and care for your loved one when they pass away

Donated enough money to send 10 kids on unforgettable wishes via "make a wish"

Arranged for kids to go to the panto at Christmas

Helped the community nursing teams and other family support organisations, including help with claiming benefits etc...

On the3rd Oct 2011 a team of 5 including Andy Preston, Blaise Ford, Nick Brown, Craig and Simon will attempt to climb Kilimanjaro to raise £20,000 for BBSF, sumiting on Ben's birthday (Ben would have been 13 on the 9th Oct 2011)

We have already raised over £11,000 and are having the final push to hit the £20K target, please follow the link below and give us a little money, it all helps.

All climbers are covering their own costs so everything you give goes directly to the charity.

There are many charities that are looking for the cure, but in the meantime 5 children per day in the UK are diagnosed.

Thank you for your continued support
