Student & Alumni Nationals are events run in parallel, organized by the BOA, and designed exclusively for students and former students. This event is managed by members for members, and is all about inclusivity, ensuring that participation remains accessible and enjoyable for all. Whether you're a new or returning player, represent your uni, and get involved by emailing students@gbuwh.co.uk to be added to the WhatsApp Community.
Note: If you play competitively for other clubs (in other tournaments), given Alumni Nationals is a standalone competition, you won't get locked into playing for your uni team in other comps, i.e. you can play for your regular team in Nautilus etc.
Key Information
- Cost-Neutral Event: Student Nationals is run as a cost-neutral event, meaning that participants only pay for essential expenses. This approach helps ensure the event remains affordable for all, allowing more students to join in.
- Event Organization: The BOA handles all aspects of event setup, organization, and infrastructure, so participants can fully enjoy the experience without worrying about logistics.

Volunteers
This competition cannot function without the valued support of our volunteers. If you can help with administration, setting up, refereeing, or anything else, please email comp@gbuwh.co.uk.
Team captains should make sure they are familiar with the rules and regulations before the day, and are reminded to read the captain’s brief carefully, as there will be no poolside briefing on the day.
Look out for further updates once teams have had a chance to enter. All updates will be found on the Events section of the website and posted to the captains whatsapp groups.
