Code of Conduct

As a member of the BOA I agree to the following Code of Conduct:

  • I will treat everyone, including coaches, managers, parents, players, officials, opponents and pool staff with respect regardless of age, gender, ability, race, cultural background, religious beliefs or gender identity.
  • I will abide by the Confederation Mondiale des Activites Subaquatiques (CMAS) international rules of Underwater Hockey.
  • To never enter into any activity that will bring the British Octopush Association into disrepute.

Additional expectations only applicable for any members who enrolls in our GB Athlete training programme

  • Make every effort to attend training camps, and notify the appropriate GB coach/manager if unable to attend.
  • Give the coach your full attention and make every effort to work hard to improve your fitness, skills and understanding of the game.
  • Always train and play to the best of your ability, and encourage others positively to do the same.
  • Follow the training schedules and any other tasks set by GB coaches.
  • Pay any fees for training and competitions in line with the expeactions set for an event and squad.
  • Show great sportsmanship ... Win or Lose…you are after all an ambassador for your country.
