Octopush E-News Bulletin 221

CRB Checks

BSAC have agreed to process CRB checks for the BOA at no cost to us.
Any-one in sole charge of young or vulnerable people must have a valid CRB check which is less than 2 years old.
Any-one assisting does not have to have a CRB check but it may be advisable in case you find yourself in sole charge.
Referees and club officials are also advised to be checked in case they find themselves in sole charge of a vulnerable or young group.
A list of CRB Authorised Members is available on the web site under 'Coaches and Referees'.
To be included on this list you must contact admin(at)gbuwh.co.uk to request a CRB check form. (Replace (at) with @)
The form must be filled in carefully following the instructions which come with it.
The form is sent to BSAC at the address on the front of the form.
The returned CRB check will come to a small BOA authorising comittee who will decide if the member is eligible to be included on the CRB authorised list.
A full document detailing BOA CRB check procedures is available in the BOA documents section.
The BOA cannot consider previous CRB checks which have been made locally by your club.
Only CRB checks through BSAC reporting directly to the BOA Authorising Committee will be acceptable.
